Your first step in assembling a grounding and core of knowledge in orthodontics.

This 3 day course is unique in that after the initial 2 days training we invite you back after 4-6 months when you have some questions to ask our specialist and team of experienced GDP’s having started some simple cases. Specialist support is at the core of our philosophy! On day 3 we also invite you to share some of your properly documented cases to the rest of the group.

Day 1 – record keeping, photography, radiography, intra oral and extra oral examinations, space analysis, diagnosis. Specialist advice and forum support.

Day 2 – practical bonding exercises on typodonts, tying in of arch wires and tie methods. Space creation, archwires, basic mechanics, instruments and equipment.

Day 3 – debonding, retention, case presentations and assessments.

Course Assessment

This qualification is designed to help you start simple orthodontics and build treatment safely and effectively into your practice and the assessments reflect that. Most of the assessments can be completed within the guided learning hours but completion will depend on you having your own case in treatment. EduQual registration is valid for 2 years so you have time post teaching days to submit your cases for assessment and you will be welcomed back to another group to present.
